Understand the difference among profile types
In SessionBox One we distinguish three profile types, this article is about their differences.
Temporary Profiles
If you would like to create a one-time profile and do not wish to keep it for the long term, you can create a temporary profile. The profile will automatically open at the time you set it up and will not appear in the My profile list. If you close the temporary profile's tab, your browser or restart the computer, that profile will no longer be available to you.
Local Profiles
Your SessionBox account and subscription can be used on various devices. However, there is a function to create a profile on a specific device only, which is not shared with the cloud. If you wish to have this type of profile, you need to select the locally stored profile.
Once opened, it will be listed on the My profiles page. This profile will only be accessible on the same device where it was created, so if you are on another workstation, the profile will not be available to you then. We identify local profiles with a strikethrough cloud icon. Locally stored profiles can be converted to the cloud at any time if you desire.
Cloud-stored profiles
You can use your SessionBox account and subscription on multiple devices. If you would like to keep your profiles accessible from everywhere, you can synchronize them into the cloud. Cloud-stored profiles can be accessed by you anywhere where you just login to SessionBox.
